Dog Waste Removal Route Technician

Part-Time • W-2 Employee • Nassau County

Minesweepers has been serving Nassau County since 2001. We're looking for a dependable route technician to service established residential routes throughout Nassau County.

What the job includes:

  • Drive a company-provided pickup truck
  • Follow an established daily route
  • Clean dog waste from customers' yards
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Safely work around customers' dogs
  • Keep the truck and equipment organized
  • Report maintenance or mechanical issues promptly
  • Work outdoors year-round in heat, cold, rain and snow

Requirments

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Must meet company vehicle insurance requirements (25+)
  • Dependable, responsible and punctual
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable driving a company pickup truck throughout Nassau County
  • Familiarity with Nassau County roads is a plus
  • Comfortable working around dogs of all sizes
  • Able to walk, bend and repeatedly scoop throughout the workday
  • Able to work outdoors year-round in heat, cold, rain and snow
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Must have a reliable smartphone with internet and texting capabilities
  • Responsible for properly caring for company vehicle and equipment
  • Must promptly report vehicle, equipment, route or customer issues
  • Previous route, delivery, landscaping or outdoor work experience is a plus, but not required






Pay & Schedule

  • Part-time W-2 position
  • $160 per route day
  • Approximately 4–6 hours per day
  • Weekday daytime schedule
  • Approximately 2–3 weekdays per week
  • Report to our Wantagh location at the start of the workday
  • Company pickup truck provided for assigned routes
  • Established customer routes
  • Paid training
  • Workday ends when the assigned route is completed
